MANILA, Philippines – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has released the 2027 Civil Service Exam schedule, including the dates for the Career Service Examination – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT). Here are the important dates, application periods, requirements, and other key details applicants need to know.

2027 Civil Service Exam Schedule, Application Timelines Released

Through Examination Announcement No. 05, s. 2026, the CSC announced that three examinations will be administered in the coming year.

Exam Dates and Application Periods

  • March 14, 2027 CSE-PPT: Applications open on November 2, 2026 and will be accepted on a continuous basis until the available slots are filled or until otherwise announced by the CSC.
  • August 8, 2027 CSE-PPT: Applications open on May 10, 2027 and will be accepted on a continuous basis until the available slots are filled or until otherwise announced by the CSC.

The CSC has set a target of 350,000 examination slots for each 2027 CSE-PPT schedule. Applicants are encouraged to file their applications early, as slots may fill up before the end of the application period.

CSC Examination Announcements

The CSC will release specific examination announcements three weeks prior to each application period. These announcements include details such as:

  • Testing centers
  • Qualification and admission requirements
  • Application/documentary requirements
  • Where and how to file applications
  • Scope of examination
  • Passing grade
  • Target release of test results
  • Resulting civil service eligibility

Applicants are encouraged to prepare their documents and check announcements regularly to ensure compliance with all requirements.

For the CSE-FSO, however, the examination announcement is being prepared and issued by the DFABFSE. Interested parties should visit the DFA website www.dfa.gov.ph, or contact the BFSE at telephone number (02) 8834-3080, or thru e-mail at bfse@dfa.gov.ph.
