A Cagayan State University–Tuguegarao graduate and Department of Health (DOH) scholar, he stood out among thousands of examinees as a symbol of academic excellence and public service commitment.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) reported that 1,954 out of 2,781 examinees successfully passed the March 2026 Physicians Licensure Examination.
Though officially listed in second place, Temblique’s 90.58% exam rating effectively placed him at the top of the results released by the PRC, with the overall topnotcher left unnamed (“Name Withheld”) in the official release.
Before entering medicine, he was a solo topnotcher in the August 2019 Physical Therapists Licensure Examination (PTLE) after graduating from Our Lady of Fatima University in Valenzuela.
He has expressed his intention to join the Department of Health’s Doctor to the Barrio program, an initiative that deploys physicians to underserved rural communities across the Philippines.
Sharing his reaction online, he wrote, “Ma at Dad may topnotcher ulit kayo,” celebrating the milestone with his family after years of academic sacrifice.
In another message, he thanked Cagayan State University, the DOH, and taxpayers, saying the opportunity to become a scholar and physician would not go to waste through service.
During the PLE waiting period, he said he drew strength from his faith, citing Matthew 6:31–34: “So don't be anxious about tomorrow; God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time.”
He credited his parents’ sacrifices and unwavering support as the foundation of his success, saying their resilience became his silent motivation.
His alma mater, Our Lady of Fatima University–Valenzuela College of Physical Therapy, praised him for consistently exemplifying excellence from PT topnotcher to physician topnotcher.
His journey from scholar to double topnotcher stands as a testament to discipline, faith, and service in Philippine healthcare.
