In a Facebook post, passenger Narvic Vale Gianan shared that he was traveling alone from the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) to SM Fairview in Quezon City when an unexpected encounter changed his day.

Unbeknownst to his seatmate, Narvic was quietly fighting an emotional battle during the trip.

“To be honest, umiiyak ako that time kasi may pinagdadaanan yung puso ko,” aniya.

He admitted feeling unappreciated by someone he deeply valued, and even the terminal itself brought back painful memories.

“I feel na wala akong value sa taong pinahalagahan ko. And some parts din yung PITX — maraming memories with someone na sobrang pinahalagahan ko,” he added.

As the bus passed through Manila streets, including Quiapo and Welcome Rotonda, Narvic tried to hide his tears with a small hand towel while staring out the window.

Beside him sat a young man who seemed to notice his quiet sobbing. At one point, the stranger began writing something on a piece of paper. Narvic initially thought he was simply doodling and paid little attention.

But just before getting off near Santo Domingo Church, the young passenger gently tapped him on the arm and handed over a folded note.

“Open,” the outside of the paper read.

Inside was a short yet powerful message:

“Hindi man kilala personal, pero naniniwala ako sayo! Magiging okay ang lahat!” — Kuyang Pasahero sa BUS (01.27.2026)

(“We may not know each other personally, but I believe in you. Everything will be okay.”)

The note was signed simply as “a fellow bus passenger” along with the date January 27, 2026.

Narvic said the unexpected gesture instantly warmed his heart and eased the heaviness he had been carrying.

“Na-appreciate ko lang. May mga tao pa palang kahit di ko naman kilala, pero may puso para magpagaan ng nararamdaman. Maliit na effort pero nakakataba ng puso,” he shared.

He expressed regret for not being able to thank the stranger personally as he hurried off the bus.

“Di ko man nakuha yung pangalan mo, di ako nakapag-reply sa sulat mo. Ngunit nagpapasalamat ako sa effort mo. Saludo sa’yo, Kuys! God bless your heart. Sana makaabot sa’yo itong pasasalamat ko,” he added.

The story has since gone viral, with many netizens praising the anonymous passenger’s empathy and sharing similar stories of kindness from strangers.

In a crowded city where people often rush past one another, Narvic’s experience serves as a gentle reminder that compassion can quietly travel alongside people — and sometimes arrive exactly when it is needed most.
