MANILA, Philippines – Actor Nico Antonio, known off-screen by his real name Jerico Alonso Antonio, is among those who passed the 2025 Bar Examinations, based on the official results released for the country’s newest lawyers on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

In a congratulatory social media post, Quantum Films confirmed that Antonio was among the list of successful examinees.
“From Atty. Willie on screen to Atty. Nico Antonio in real life. WOW, nakaka-proud naman talaga!” read the caption accompanying the post.
Antonio recently portrayed a lawyer in the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry “UnMarry” which was hailed Second Best Picture at the festival.
The film stars Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo, and was produced by Quantum Films.
The 2025 Bar Examinations recorded a passing rate of 48.98 percent, with 5,594 examinees successfully qualifying for admission to the legal profession.
The oath-taking and signing of the Roll of Attorneys for the new lawyers will be held on February 6 at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
Topping the 2025 Bar Examinations was Jhenroniel Rhey Timola Sanchez from the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman who garnered a rating of 92.70%.
