MANILA, Philippines – ABS-CBN confirmed on December 4, 2025, that its content partnership with TV5 may soon end after receiving a notice regarding its possible termination.
The network said it is working to address the issue but stressed the need for transparency, saying, “While we are doing everything we can to resolve this within the short time we’ve been given, we want to be transparent with you about what’s happening.”
ABS-CBN highlighted the severe challenges it has faced since losing its franchise in 2020 amid the height of the pandemic.
The company acknowledged its financial struggles but reaffirmed its commitment to viewers, stating, “These financial constraints are real, but they have never diminished our commitment to you.”

ABS-CBN assured the public that its service will continue regardless of the outcome of the partnership issue.
The network emphasized its determination to reach Filipinos through any platform available, saying, “We will find ways to reach you, just as we found our way back to you after losing our franchise.”
