PAGASA emphasized that heavy rainfall, severe winds, and storm surges may still be experienced in areas outside the direct landfall point and forecast cone. Residents are advised to stay alert for possible flooding and landslides.

Paolo is forecast to move generally west-northwestward throughout the forecast period. On its track, it will traverse Northern Luzon today and exit into the West Philippine Sea by this afternoon or evening.

The typhoon may slightly weaken while crossing Northern Luzon’s rugged terrain, though it is expected to remain within typhoon category. Re-intensification is highly likely once it emerges over the West Philippine Sea.

Authorities urge the public to continuously monitor PAGASA’s next advisories and take precautionary measures to ensure safety.
