MANILA, Philippines – Several local government units (LGUs) have announced the suspension of classes on Thursday, September 18, 2025 due to Tropical Depression Mirasol or the expected nationwide transport strike.

According to state weather bureau PAGASA's 8:00 PM update on Wednesday, Tropical Depression Mirasol maintains its strength and is now over Apayao.
At 7:00 pm today, the weather disturbance was estimated based on all available data in the vicinity of Calanasan, Apayao.
It has maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 90 km/h, and central pressure of 1002 hPa.
Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 is hoisted over Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, northern Isabela, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, eastern and northern Ifugao, Ilocos Norte, and northern Ilocos Sur.
