MANILA, Philippines – Several local government units (LGUs) announced suspension of classes for Friday, September 5, 2025, due to the inclement weather brought by the southwest monsoon or habagat.

According to state weather bureau PAGASA's 4:00 AM update on Friday, the southwest monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over Luzon and the western section of Visayas on today, September 5.

This list will be updated as soon as local or national authorities make their advisories.

Metro Manila

  • Caloocan – all levels, public and private
  • Las Piñas – all levels, public and private
  • Malabon – all levels, public and private
  • Marikina – all levels, public and private
  • Parañaque – no face-to-face classes all levels, public and private
  • Pasig City – kindergarten to senior high school, public and private
  • Pateros – no face-to-face classes from Child Development Centers, Elementary, Junior and Senior High Schools
  • Quezon City – afternoon classes, Child Development Centers, Kindergarten, Grades 1 - 12, and Alternative Learning System (ALS); public
  • San Juan – all levels, public and private
  • Valenzuela – no face-to-face classes all levels, public and private
