In the program “DTI: Asenso Pilipino,” Doesnt happily explained the reason behind her approach to hiring and working closely with her employees at the food business “Chicks ni Otit” located in Cavite and Tagaytay.
Wilma explained that she intentionally chooses to hire anyone, regardless of background, because she understands how it feels to be rejected—especially for persons with disabilities (PWDs). She added that she does not base her hiring decisions on school records or academic track record.
In a recent social media post, Wilma shared time updates from her restaurant in General Trias, Cavite, which she fondly refers to as a “five-star carinderia.”
The video showed a steady stream of customers and warm greetings exchanged with employees, even in the midst of a storm.
