MANILA, Philippines – Classes on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, have been cancelled in several areas due to inclement weather, flooding and effects of Typhoon Emong.
State weather bureau PAGASA said Tuesday at 11 p.m. that heavy rainfall due to Southwest Monsoon or habagat may be experienced until Wednesday evening in Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, and Benguet.
"Forecast rainfall may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas. Moreover, impacts in some areas may be worsened by significant antecedent rainfall," PAGASA added.
