Quinto also shared the heartbreaking update in an Instagram post on Thursday, asking for prayers and privacy for her family during this difficult time.
"I’m deeply saddened by this development. Hope u give us time to mourn his lost especially my daughter. Just pray for us that we will get thru this by the help of God!" she wrote.
Trevor’s cause of death has not been disclosed. Quinto emphasized that even the immediate family is still seeking answers.
“We are still gathering factual information about his death. Even us or his immediate family are still verifying what happened. So we kindly ask his friends or anyone to stop spreading fake news or mere speculations,” she said.
Quinto also appealed to the public to rely only on official information from her or Trevor's family.
“I am flying tomorrow for the US with my daughter, so please wait for the official announcement surrounding his death from me and his family only—and not from any other source,” she added.
Magallanes’ last known social media activity was in May, when he shared a video of his visit to the wind turbines in Oklahoma.
Friends and fellow celebrities including Jaya, Ogie Alcasid, Maxene Magalona, and Alessandra De Rossi have expressed their condolences and offered prayers via social media.
Quinto and Magallanes were married in 2016 in an intimate ceremony in Quezon City. They made headlines in December 2024 when they publicly confirmed their separation. At the time, no divorce had been filed, as the two were married in the Philippines where divorce remains not legal.
“Yung legalities, walang file ng divorce. Walang nag-file. Hindi ako magfi-file kasi andami ko nang file sa kaso. Ayoko muna mag-file ng divorce kasi dito rin naman kami kinasal sa Pilipinas,” Quinto shared in a past interview. “Di ko na rin alam ano gagawin, masyadong masakit pa. May anak din kami.”
The couple share one daughter, Alexandria Athena, who turned eight years old earlier this year.
