Fastest canvassing in Philippine midterm history
The Comelec completed the canvassing of all 175 certificates of canvass in just three days — a record-breaking pace in the poll body's history.
The official tally was finalized on Thursday night, marking a significant milestone in the country's electoral process.
Proclamation of winning senators
Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia announced that the 12 newly elected senators will be formally proclaimed at 3 p.m. on Saturday, during a ceremony at Manila Hotel Tent City.
Historic voter turnout
This year’s elections saw an 82.20% voter turnout, with 57,350,968 voters participating out of 69,673,653 registered voters — which includes local absentee and overseas voters.
This marks the highest voter turnout in Philippine midterm election history, closely trailing the 84.10% turnout recorded during the 2022 presidential elections.
