MANILA, Philippines – “My father is very supportive; he is truly hardworking.”
These were the heartfelt words of newly licensed teacher Patricia Ella Nor Cerenado, whose father, a tricycle driver in Barangay Malagyan, Miagao, went viral as he celebrated her March 2025 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) success by offering free rides to passengers in their town.

Now a Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT), Patricia recounted the touching gesture as a symbol of her father's unwavering support and dedication to their family.
She was at home with her family when the LET results were released on May 23. Unknown to her, her father had already planned a unique way to express his gratitude and joy.
At around 9 a.m., shortly after they finished selling food at the local tricycle terminal, her father began his regular route but with a special twist: all rides were free.
His simple act of generosity caught the attention of local passengers, one of whom posted about the experience on Facebook. Friends and acquaintances soon tagged Patricia in the post, revealing her father's surprise tribute to her achievement.
“I had no idea he would do that,” Patricia said, visibly touched by her father’s quiet celebration.
She described her father as a determined and hardworking provider who never stops striving to give them a better life. “For me, he’s a good provider and the best father,” she added.
Patricia is the eldest among three siblings. Both her younger brother and sister are currently in college, continuing the family's shared pursuit of education.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, Major in Filipino from West Visayas State University – Main Campus.
With her new title as an LPT, Patricia stands as a symbol of perseverance and gratitude, qualities deeply rooted in her humble beginnings and family values.
Her story has since inspired many online, with netizens praising not only her academic achievement but also the heartwarming support of her proud father.
