MANILA, Philippines – The April 2025 NAPOLCOM exam results, which include the complete list of passers and top 20, for the Philippine National Police (PNP) entrance and promotional examinations, are expected to be released online between June-July 2025, or within in 2-3 months after the tests.
The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) administered the exams to 42,499 civilians and police examinees in designated testing centers nationwide on April 27, 2025 (Sunday).
Of the total examinees, 33,202 took the PNP Entrance Exam while 9,297 police personnel tried to hurdle the Promotional examinations.

The official list of passers/qualifiers for the April 2025 NAPOLCOM PNP Entrance and Promotional Exams will be posted on the official NAPOLCOM website at https://napolcom.gov.ph. To view the results, navigate to the 'Exam Results' tab and select 'April 27, 2025'.

COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION
The three-hour examination for PNP entrance exam consists of objective-type and multiple choice items on general information, verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning and logical reasoning.
The promotional examinations, also in 3 hours, include general information, police administration and operations, and police customs and tradition/values and ethical standards.
REPORTS OF RATING/VERIFICATION OF TEST RESULT
Certificate of Eligibility (COE) for examination passers and Report of Rating (ROR) for unsuccessful examinees will be sent by mail.
Upon request and payment of PHP150.00, CERTIFICATION of successful examinees may be issued by the Examining Division-Personnel and Administrative Service (ED-PAS), NAPOLCOM Central Office, and by the 17 NAPOLCOM Regional Offices nationwide.
PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS
In the November 2024 NAPOLCOM exams, results were announced in two (2) months after the tests. Out of 44,436 examinees, 13,233 passed the NAPOLCOM exams, with an overall passing rate of 29.78%. This includes 10,426 out of 36,386 passers of the PNP Entrance Exam (28.65%) and 2,807 out of 8,050 passers of the Promotional Exams (34.87%).
In the June 2024 NAPOLCOM exams, results were released in two (2) months after the tests. A total of 13,558 out of 45,257 (29.96%) passed the exams. This includes 8,770 out of 33,429 (26.23%) passers of the PNP Entrance Exam and 4,788 combined passers (out of 11,828 or 40.48%) for Promotional Exams.
In the December 2023 NAPOLCOM exams, results were announced online in almost three (3) months after the exams. A total of 13,420 or 35.37% of the 37,937 examinees hurdled the police examinations. This includes 8,399 passers of the PNPE Examination representing 28.76% of the 29,205 PNPE examinees, and the combined 5,021 passers constituting 57.50% of the 8,732 in-service police officers who took the PNP Promotional Exams.
In the June 2023 NAPOLCOM exams, results were released online after 3 months. A total of 11,363 or 30.01% of the 37,859 examinees hurdled the police examinations - 5,641 out of 27,908 (20.21%) passed PNP Entrance Exam while 5,722 out of 9,951 (57.50%) passed the promotional examinations.

NAPOLCOM EXAM OVERVIEW
The eligibility conferred upon passing the PNPE Examination is one of the requirements for appointment in the PNP as a Patrolman/Patrolwoman, while passing the corresponding promotional examination is a requirement for promotion to a higher rank.
The Promotional Examinations are open exclusively to all qualified uniformed members of the PNP who meet the minimum qualification standards for examination in terms of rank and eligibility.
The Promotional Exams are categorized into four (4) levels, reflecting the eligibility requirements for specific ranks within the PNP structure, as follows:
Police Officer (PO) 1st Class Examination: This category qualifies officers for promotion to the ranks of Police Major and Police Lieutenant Colonel. Passers will demonstrate their readiness for senior leadership positions within the PNP.
Police Officer (PO) 2nd Class Examination: For promotion to the ranks of Police Lieutenant and Police Captain. These officers are equipped with the eligibility needed to assume greater responsibilities.
Police Officer (PO) 3rd Class Examination: Qualifies them for promotion to the ranks of Police Master Sergeant, Senior Master Sergeant, Chief Master Sergeant, and Executive Master Sergeant. This exam covers experienced personnel to advance in their respective fields of expertise.
Police Officer (PO) 4th Class Examination: It covers eligibility for promotion to the ranks of Police Corporal and Police Staff Sergeant. This allows officers to further their careers and contribute to the PNP’s mandate with enhanced capabilities and leadership potential.
