Engr. Meckaella Belaro Buelva’s story from Bicol University is truly inspiring, because after failing her first attempt at the Chemical Engineering Licensure Examination in 2024, she made a strong comeback on her second try within the same year; and as a bonus, she also passed two additional board exams!
According to a post from a Facebook page, Meckaella took her first attempt at becoming a licensed Chemical Engineer in May 2024 but unfortunately did not pass.
She admitted that nerves got the best of her, which is why she was unable to pass on her first attempt. To redeem herself, she took the Master Plumber board exam in July 2024—and this time, she passed.
She then took the Chemical Technician board exam in October 2024 and passed once again.
Finally, on her second attempt at the Chemical Engineering Licensure Examination, she succeeded, saying she was much calmer while answering this time.
“May 2024 - First take ko po ng ChE sobrang kabado po ako. Unfortunately, hindi nakapasa.”
“July 2024 - Master plumber (PASSED)”
“October 2024 - ChemTech (PASSED)”
“November 2024 - ChELE po ulit pero ngayon po kalmado na ako nagtake (PASSED),” it can be read on her post.
Now, Meckaella is now a registered chemical engineer, registered chemical technician, and registered master plumber.
On January 11, 2025, Engr. Meckaella shared several photos from the oath-taking ceremony held at the Manila Hotel Tent City.
Congratulations, Engr. Meckaella!
