Duterte recently warned that she has hired an assassin to kill Marcos, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and House Speaker Martin Romualdez in the event that she gets killed.
Amid the challenges the country is facing, President Marcos said he won’t compromise the rule of law which should be applied to everyone.
Duterte's remarks over the weekend came in the middle of the House panel's investigation into the allegedly questionable budget of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and the Department of Education (DepEd) when it was still under her leadership.
He also promised not to let dirty politicking drag the country down.

The President reminded government officials of their duty to protect the country and the Constitution, stressing elected officials should not suppress the quest for truth.
He said the present political drama could have ended if concerned parties answered the legitimate queries of lawmakers.
“Tapos na sana ang usapang ito kung tutuparin lamang ang sinumpaang panata na bilang lingkod bayan ay magsabi ng totoo, at hindi hahadlangan,” the President said, underscoring the important role of Congress as an independent branch of government.
“Hangad ko na matuldukan na itong mga pangyayaring ito sa paraang matiwasay at magdadala sa atin sa katotohanan,” he said.
