FULL RESULTS: September 2024 LET teachers board exam list of passers, top 10

MANILA, Philippines – The September 2024 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) or teachers board exam results, together with the full list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools and performance of schools, for Elementary and Secondary levels are released online on December 13, 2024 or in forty-nine (49) working days after the exam.

December 13, 2024 Update:"Get ready, the wait is almost over—brace yourself for the LEPT results," PRC said.

December 12, 2024 Update: In an interview, PRC Licensure Division told The Summit Express that the September 2024 LET results will be released any time this Friday, December 13, 2024.

December 11, 2024 Update: Reliable source hinted of possible release of LET results in just two (2) days or within Friday, December 13.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted the second regular LET board exam this year on Sunday, September 29, 2024 in at least 38 testing centers nationwide and in Bangkok, Thailand.

Testing centers include Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

Meanwhile, PRC designated additional test centers to accommodate the influx of examinees taking the teachers' board exam and to avoid unnecessary distant travel and additional expenses on the part of hopefuls: Antique, Bacolod, Bayambang, Bohol, Catanduanes, Catarman, Cauayan, Digos, Dumaguete, General Santos, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Kidapawan, Laguna, Marinduque, Masbate, Mati, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro (Calapan), Palawan, Romblon and Tagum.

The Board for Professional Teachers is composed of Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, Chairman; Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Vice Chairman; Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy, Members.

Note: There's no such thing as uploading percentage of board exam results. Once available, it will be posted immediately on PRC official site (prc.gov.ph) or it will be released to media for publication of results.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

The schedule for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration for Elementary and Secondary level exams will be announced once results are out online.

Date of Registration: TBA

Those who will register are required to bring the following:

  • downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • notice of admission (for identification only)
  • 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
  • 2 sets of documentary stamps
  • 1 piece short brown envelope

PRC said that successful examinees should PERSONALLY register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date of the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examinations WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.

HOW TO CHECK LET EXAM SCORE?

LET board exam's verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.

Visit PRC's "Verification of Rating" service and provide the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.

WHAT IS THE PASSING RATE OF LET?

To pass the LET, aspirant must obtain an average rating of not less than 75% and must have no rating lower than 50% in any of the tests.

Note that passing the teacher licensure exam and having valid professional license from the Commission are necessary before the practice of teaching profession in the Philippines. Otherwise, those who will violate may face fine and imprisonment based on penal provisions.

COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION

The September 2024 LET covered two (2) parts for Elementary - General Education (40%) and Professional Education (60%) and three (3) parts for Secondary - General Education (20%), Professional Education (40%) and Specialization (40%).

The test covered the major areas of General Education (English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences), Professional Education (teaching profession, social dimensions of education, principles of teaching, education technology, curriculum development, facilitating learning, child and adolescent development, assessment of student learning, developmental reading, field study and practice teaching). The 8 specializations for Secondary Teacher with exam coverage depends on the chosen course: English, Filipino, Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, Values Education, MAPEH and TLTVE (Technology Livelihood, Tech-Voc Education.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Only Mathematics (under Specialization subject) was allowed to use calculator in conjunction with specific features. The modification is pursuant to Resolution No. 25, series of 2019 issued by the Board for Professional Teachers.

RELEASE OF RESULTS

Based on PRC Resolution No. 1836 series of 2024 for the revised schedule of Licensure Exams from August to December 2024, the target release of September 2024 LET board exam result is on December 13, 2024 (Friday) or 49 working days after the test.

The computed total number of workdays excludes 10 Saturdays and Sundays and one (1) holiday on November 1, 2024 (All Saints' Day).

Government work was cancelled on October 14 and 15 due to the opening of Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction and on October 23, 24 and 25 due to the effects of Tropical Storm “Kristine”.

PRC Board News, our partner website for PRC exam results, said that the probable release date of September 2024 LET exam results is between December 2-16 or in 40-50 working days after the exam.

Note that results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice. This is due to several factors such as the total number of examinees, effect of work cancellations due to calamities and unforeseen events and system of checking the pencil-based tests.

PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS

In the March 2024 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET), PRC announced results in forty-seven (47) working days after the exams. A total of 20,890 elementary teachers out of 44,764 examinees (46.67%) and 50,539 secondary teachers out of 85,980 examinees (58.78%) successfully passed the exams. Cebu Technological University (CTU)-Main topped the Elementary Level with 85.59% or 291 out of 340 passed (300 or more examinees category). Meanwhile, Philippine Normal University (PNU)-Manila led the schools for Secondary level with 98.96% or 381 out of 385 passed (300 or more examinees).

In the September 2023 LET, PRC released results in fifty-five (55) working days after the exams. A total of 23,782 elementary teachers out of 50,593 examinees (47.01%) and 53,995 secondary teachers out of 95,969 examinees (56.26%) successfully passed the exams. University of Santo Tomas (UST) and Cebu Technological University (CTU)-Argao tied on highest spot for Elementary Level while UST occupied the top place for Secondary Level.

In the March 2023 LET, PRC announced results in forty-two (42) working days. The agency named 24,819 elementary teachers out of 60,896 examinees (40.76%) and 48,005 secondary teachers out of 102,272 examinees (46.94%) who successfully hurdled the exams. Bohol Island State University (BISU)-Tagbilaran City and UST topped the Elementary Level while Philippine Normal University (PNU)-Mindanao led the Secondary level exams.

In the October 2022 massive LET, PRC was able to release results after fifty-six (56) working days. A total of 49,783 elementary teachers out of 91,468 examinees (54.43%) and 71,080 secondary teachers out of 139,534 examinees (50.94%) successfully passed the exams. PNU-Manila was the top performing school for Elementary Level while University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) and University of the Philippines - Visayas - Iloilo City tied for highest place in the Secondary Level.
