MANILA, Philippines – The May 2024 nurse licensure examination (NLE) results or nursing board exam full list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing schools and performance of schools, are released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and Board of Nursing (BoN) on May 13 or in four (4) working days after the last day of exam.
As announced, 7,749 out of 11,116 (69.71%) passed the exams.
The results of examination with respect to two (2) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.
The first regular NLE this year was conducted on May 6 and 7, 2024 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to online.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Date of Registration: Starting June 19, 2024
Those who will register are required to bring the following:
- downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- notice of admission (for identification only)
- 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
- 2 sets of documentary stamps
- 1 piece short brown envelope
Pursuant to Section 16, of Republic Act No. 9173, all successful candidates in the examination shall be required to take an oath of professional before the Board or any government official authorized to administer oaths prior to entering upon the nursing practice.
VERIFICATION OF RATINGS
PNLE's verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.
Visit PRC's "Verification of Rating" service and provide the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.
COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION
The two-day exam covered competencies in relation to the 11 key areas of responsibility contained in the Competency Standards of Nursing Practice in the Philippines. These areas are categorized as follows: patient care, empowering, enabling and enhancing competencies.
The five (5) parts of the NLE are the following:
- Nursing Practice I (Community Health Nursing)
- Nursing Practice II (Care of Healthy/At Risk Mother and Child)
- Nursing Practice III (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part A)
- Nursing Practice IV (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part B)
- Nursing Practice V (Care of Clients with Physiologic and Psychosocial Alternations - Part C)
RELEASE OF NLE RESULTS
Based on PRC Resolution No. 1728 s. 2023, the target release of nurse board exam results is on Friday, May 17, 2024 or in eight (8) working days.
However, results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice. We advise takers to monitor announcement of results between May 15 and 21 or in 6-10 working days.
PREVIOUS EXAMS
In the November 2023 Philippine Nurses Licensure Exam (PNLE), PRC announced results in fourteen (14) working days. A total of 25,761 out of 32,203 successfully passed the exams. Aristotle Calayan Castronuevo from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and Cris Vinz Corpuz Tomboc from West Visayas State University- La Paz tied on highest place with 91.00%.
In the May 2023 Nursing Licensure Exams, PRC released results in ten (10) working days. The agency named 10,764 out of 14,364 who passed the exams. Cristin Bagang Pangan from University of the Philippines (UP)-Manila topped the board with 91.60%.
In the November 2022 Nursing board exams, results were released online after twelve (12) working days. PRC named 18,529 out of 24,903 who successfully passed the exams. Abigail Garganta Ramirez from Saint Paul University - Dumaguete clinched the highest spot with 90.00%.
In the May 2022 NLE, PRC released results in nine (9) working days. A total of 6,616 out of 9,729 passed the exams. Far Eastern University (FEU)-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation topped the schools with 98.28% or 57 out of 58 passed. Keziah Kyleen Galit Gonzales from Emilio Aguinaldo College - Manila and Nora Jane Bacarisas Staveley from Our Lady of Fatima University - Valenzuela topped the board with identical grade of 90.00%.
In the November 2021 NLE, PRC released results in twelve (12) working days. A total of 6,086 out of 11,828 passed the exams. University of Santo Tomas (UST) was the top performing school with 100% passing rate or all 58 takers passed. Kiarra Belle Arante Poblador from Silliman University aced the board with 89.40%.
