The Philippines looks to avoid a winless campaign in the tournament after the heartbreaking loss for the outright Olympic berth.

As they have lost in all four games, against Dominican Republic, Angola and Italy in the first round, and South Sudan in the classification phase, the Nationals will regroup for one last shot at redemption.

“We’re playing for flag and country and we’re doing this as really our way to serve the country, the Philippines,” said Reyes after an 87-68 loss to South Sudan on Thursday.

Another loss will mark the first time a World Cup host went winless since Colombia's hosting in 1982.

Gilas Pilipinas vs China match is set at 8 pm.
