LIVESTREAM: Philippines vs Thailand women's volleyball SEA Games 2023

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine women’s volleyball team is facing a tough opponent, the 12-time defending champion Thailand in the semi-final round of the 32nd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

The crucial game for the podium place hope is on the line as the national squad will lean on veterans Mylene Paat, Tots Carlos, Jema Galanza and Jia Morado.

Game time set at 6 pm (Manila time).

Team captain Alyssa Valdez is also expected to deliver for the squad despite recovering from the knee injury.

“I’m just really thankful for the trust of the coaches. It feels really different when you play for the country,” said Valdez. “With that trust, we will give our all for a good fight for this SEA Games.”

Ending the 18-year drought since the country last won a medal, bronze in Manila Games in 2005, is the plan.

The winners of the semifinal round will play for the gold medal and the losers will play for the bronze medal.
