On Facebook, netizen Russell Rosero shared how impressed he is with teacher Merinee Del Rosario. The hardworking mother of two is a passer of the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET). She applied to work under DepEd and while waiting to be hired, she took another unexpected road away from her profession.

Sir Russell expressed his admiration for Teacher Merinee when he saw her working as a gasoline girl or gas attendant at Bicol Petroleum in Tigaon, Camarines Sur. Even more impressive, Teacher Merinee has been working the morning and night shifts for two years. Aside from being a gas attendant, Teacher Merinee also works as a cashier and a cleaner at the gas station.

In an interview with The Summit Express, Sir Russell explained, “She's not yet hired for a teaching position, but she's already a LET passer po. Nasa ranking na din siya, but still, ‘di naka pasa. Kaya waiting pa din po siya.”

According to the hardworking teacher, her two children, ages two and three, and her husband, who is still finishing his education degree, are her inspiration and motivation to work hard. Teacher Merinee truly serves as an inspiration to prove that a mother’s love knows no boundaries. When it comes to taking care of their families, mothers will not hesitate to take on any job just to provide.

As Sir Russell explained, “There's no 'overqualified,' she just simply wants to live and get a small daily income to feed her children. Laban lang, ma'am Merinee Del Rosario.”

Many teachers can relate to Teacher Merinee's hardships, and many netizens admire her humility and dedication. A netizen wrote, “So proud of you, maam, wala kang kaarte arte sa katawan ang ibang nakatapos dii mo na mapapatrabaho sa pinasukan mong yan. Ikaw na ang bagong lodi.”
