In an episode of Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS) on Sunday, February 26, contestants named Lyka Alburo and her boyfriend, Ryan, apologized for the alleged cheating incident and explained that their actions were unintentional.

Ryan and Lyka went viral after a video of their Pinoy Henyo game on Eat Bulaga on February 14 went viral. In the footage, hawk-eyed netizens were quick to notice how Lyka appeared to mouth the word "stomach," which was the word Ryan was supposed to guess. When it was Lyka's turn to guess, Ryan was seen appearing to mouth the answer, "Abra," winning them the jackpot round. The couple took home P30,000.

Netizens didn’t let the incident go unnoticed as the couple received criticism online. Eat Bulaga had to delete the video of the couple on its YouTube channel due to the harsh comments.

After the online backlash, Ryan and Lyka said they were sorry for what they did and said that "mouthing" the answer was because they were nervous and excited to win the game.

Ryan also stated that mouthing the answer was unintentional, and he was taken aback when he saw the video of himself.

Since the incident, Lyka said, they have gotten so much hate online that they have had to shut down their social media accounts. The couple apologized to the management and hosts of Eat Bulaga for the incident.

Even Ryan's mother appealed for the hate to stop, saying her son only made a mistake. She tearfully said, “Huwag silang maghusga sa anak ko dahil wala siyang kasalanan. Nabigla lang siya. Nagkamali.”

Earlier, Eat Bulaga hosts Miles Ocampo and Ryan Agoncillo made snide remarks about cheating on the show just a day after the incident happened. Joey de Leon also made comments about the incident, saying that cheating takes out the fun of playing the Pinoy Henyo game.

To which Ryan replied, "Kung ayaw ninyong masikmuraan, umayos kayo!"
