MANILA, Philippines – The grand coronation night for the 71st edition of Miss Universe pageant happens on Saturday, January 14, 2023 (Sunday, January 15 Philippine time) at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.

Pageant fans in the Philippines can watch the live airing of Miss Universe 2022 Competition through free TV, cable and streaming platform.

Once again, ABS-CBN partners with Miss Universe to bring the most beautiful day in the universe to Filipinos. Watch the prestigious event LIVE on A2Z Channel 11, Kapamilya Channel, Metro Channel, and iWantTFC on January 15 (Sunday) at 9 AM (Philippine time).

Same-day replays will be available at 10:30 PM on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Metro Channel, TV5, and iWantTFC. Metro Channel will air more replays later in the week.

Eighty-four (84) candidates are vying for the most coveted title and the privilege of being the Miss Universe 2022.

Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi is all-out for the country's fifth Miss Universe crown. She was among the hot picks by pageant enthusiasts.

During the preliminary competition, Celeste turned heads as she strutted down the runway wearing a cape with handprints of kids from Marawi for the swimsuit round. The beauty queen also showed power and strength as she donned the costume of the iconic Filipina heroine, Darna in the national costume competition. She glistened like a sparkling gem for the evening gown competition in a sky-blue long gown with a bodice that highlighted her curves.

Sixteen (16) candidates from the pool will be announced at the start of the pageant. This includes one winner of the fan votes. Judging is based on closed-door interview and preliminary competition, which featured contestants competing in swimsuit and evening gown.

This will mark the first time in a 70-year history to have an all-female presenting panel, including Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray as backstage correspondent.
