Recently, more groups have been pushing for an unlikely pair. Those who are in favor of Duterte but against presidentiable Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. found that Robredo would be a good presidential choice.

Robredo is running alongside Senator Francis Pangilinan while Duterte is campaigning with Marcos Jr.

On Monday, the hashtag #LeniSara became a trending topic on Twitter as netizens aired their reaction to the tandem.

This came after PDP-Laban’s Vice President for Visayas and Eastern Samar Governor Ben Evardone endorsed Robredo’s presidential bid. Evardone, a close ally of President Rodrigo Duterte, even confirmed that the endorsement had the president's blessing. This was also supported by House Deputy Speaker Rufus Rodriguez, who believed that Robredo could win the May 9 poll.

Last February, Albay 2nd District Rep. Joey Salceda endorsed the Robredo-Duterte tandem. He noted how President Duterte and Robredo share common traits.

Earlier, Duterte himself hinted that he wants his successor to be a lawyer and has compassion for the people. He said, “You must be decisive…I did not say that it’s the best quality, but one of the good qualities of a president, hopefully, a lawyer.”

There are two lawyers running for president this year. Robredo and Jose Montemayor.

On Twitter, many netizens aired their support for the Robredo-Duterte tandem using the hashtag #LeniSara2022. Many netizens called the move “total girl boss” if two females win the two highest political seats in the country.

A netizen tweeted, “#LeniSara2022 na talaga, make it happen.”

Currently, over 80 local government officials nationwide express their support for Robredo.
