Woman gets robbed at gunpoint at Alabang mall parking lot

MANILA, Philippines – A woman who was robbed at gunpoint at a parking lot in Festival mall in Alabang, Muntinlupa on Sunday, September 12 has decided to share “the most horrible thing” that ever happened to her on social media to warn the public.

According to Suzanne Carandang Vicente, she was in her car and was about to pick up grocery when a man carrying a gun suddenly approached her. The armed man instructed her to unlock the back passenger seat.

"Huwag kang sisigaw, huwag kang gagawa ng gulo kung hindi, papatayin kita,” the man threatened her while he was sitting at the back passenger seat.

He then told Vicente to drive and leave the place immediately.

Despite knowing the danger she was in, Vicente remained calm and focused. She surrendered all her ATM cards, ID cards and phones.

The robber also forcibly removed the Cartier bracelet, which Vicente had been wearing for the last 20 years, from her wrist.

"Sir, mahirap pong tanggalin gawa ng de turnilyo po ito,” Vicente told the robber.

"Pilitin mong tanggalin kundi papatayin kita,” the robber told her.

"Sir, nakikiusap po ako, magbabayad ako ng tuition, Vicente pleaded.

"Huwag kang magsalita dyan, magdrive ka lang,” the robber replied.

While travelling from Festival Mall to Sucat, the robber transferred all the contents of Vicente’s bag into his big backpack. The robber even asked for the passwords of her mobile phone.

The ordeal finally ended after 30 minutes when the robber asked Vicente to drop him off along Service Road to Sucat.

“I am posting this not to scare everyone but to be aware that even in a parking area where you are supposed to feel safe because there are securities around, is no longer safe too,” Vicente wrote in her post.

Meanwhile, the management of Festival Mall said that authorities as well as their security team are conducting an investigation regarding the incident.
