Robredo added that she was very close to Soliman.

In August, Dinky and her husband Hector along with 13 family members contracted COVID-19. Several weeks later, despite surviving the contagious disease that took a toll on her physical health, she died after succumbing to renal and heart failure at 7:32 am today.

Soliman served under the administrations of the late President Benigno Aquino III and former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

She graduated from the University of the Philippines and Harvard University.
