FULL RESULTS: July 2021 Metallurgical Engineer board exam list of passers, top 10

MANILA, Philippines – The July 2021 Metallurgical Engineer board exam results, which include the full list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing school and performance of schools are available on this page as officially released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Metallurgical Engineering on July 12 or in three (3) working days after the exam.

As announced, 30 out of 43 passed the exams.

PRC administered the Metallurgical Engineer board exam on July 5,6 and 7, 2021 in the cities of Manila and Cagayan de Oro.

Examination was originally scheduled in June 2021 but was postponed pursuant to Resolution No. 1367 (s. 2021), citing the general community quarantine (GCQ) with restrictions status in NCR Plus and the imposition of modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) in Cagayan de Oro City.

The members of the Board of Metallurgical Engineering who gave the licensure examination are Agustin M. Fudolig, Chairman and Juancho Pablo S. Calvez, Member.

The performance of schools in the July 2021 Metallurgical Engineer Licensure Examination in alphabetical order as per R.A. 8981 otherwise known as PRC Modernization Act of 2000 Section 7(m) "To monitor the performance of schools in licensure examinations and publish the results thereof in a newspaper of national circulation" is as follows:



REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

On August 2, 2021, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following:
  • downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • notice of admission (for identification only)
  • 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
  • 2 sets of documentary stamps
  • 1 piece short brown envelope

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

Due to pandemic, oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees will be done virtual or online. The online oathtaking application system (e-oath) can be accessed at Licensure Examination and Registration Information System (LERIS).

VERIFICATION OF RATINGS

In just few working days after the release of results, all takers may verify their ratings online through PRC's verification of rating page. Provide the required information in the appropriate fields to verify your identity.

COVERAGE OF EXAM

The three-day examination for the aspiring Metallurgical engineers covered the following subjects:

Metallurgy I (35%): mineral processing, pyromettalurgy, metallurgical fuel, technology, refractory science, hydrometallurgy, electrometallurgy and metallurgical physical chemistry.

Metallurgy II (35%): physical metallurgy, mechanical metallurgy, crystallography, metallography, iron and steel metallurgy, non-ferrous metallurgy and foundry metallurgy.

Metallurgy III (30%): inorganic qualitative and quantitative chemistry, metallurgical law, jurisprudence, ethics, statistics and experimental design, engineering economics, mechanics, hydraulics and design of simple metallurgical process, operation, plants of facilities.

RELEASE OF RESULTS

Based on the original schedule of exams (June 2021), the target release of Metallurgical Engineer board exam results is 3 days after the tests.

Note that results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice. We advise takers to monitor release of results starting Friday, July 9 and until Monday, July 12.

PREVIOUS EXAMS

In the last Metallurgical Engineer board exams before the COVID-19 pandemic (October 2019), results were made available online in just one (1) working day. PRC named 68 out of 94 who passed the series of exams. Earl Dave Madridondo Tulabing from Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) aced the board with 86.15%.

In the October 2018 exams, PRC also announced results in 1 working day. A total of 49 out of 68 successfully hurdled the exams. Dahr Tur Madayan Silao, also from MSU-IIT led the passers with 88.60%.

In the October 2017 exams, results came out in two (2) working days. PRC named 82 out of 96 who passed the series of tests. Lovelle Rhoy Carino Manpatilan and Wilbert Wales Tidalgo, both from MSU-IIT, topped the board with 88.95%.
