MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Thursday, April 1, the postponement of the conduct of April 2021 Pharmacy Licensure Examination (PhLE) in non-Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) areas.
Due to the rising cases of COVID-19 infections in the country, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) instructed PRC to postpone the Pharmacist board exams in areas under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) to avoid cross-border transfer of examinees.
Affected testing centers under GCQ are the cities of Baguio, Davao, Tacloban and Tuguegarao.
Also includes in the postponement of exams are areas under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) and modified ECQ. The ECQ declaration in the National Capital Region (NCR) is expected to be extended.
The Pharmacy Licensure Examination scheduled on April 25 - 26, 2021 shall be conducted only in the following MGCQ areas:

PRC said that only the examinees assigned to the above examination venues shall be allowed to take the PhLE as scheduled.
Affected examinees will be taking their examination on appropriate dates to be determined by the agency and once approved by the IATF-MEID.
On March 29, President Rodrigo Duterte announced the new community quarantine classifications for the month of April. ECQ in Metro Manila and nearby provinces were retained until April 4 and subject for review. Meanwhile, several areas were put under MECQ and GCQ.
