Parol maker cries after buyer fails to claim order worth Php 100K

Netizens rallied together to send help to Max Simon, a maker of parol. His family makes lantern for P70 each in their place in Central Market, Sta. Cruz, Maynila.

In a viral post by Arlene Simon, she shared just how many Christmas lanterns were made by Tatay Max for an order that was worth P100,000. Unfortunately, all his hardwork was left in vain as the buyer decided to back out and did not claim the order.

What's even more disheartening is that the failed order will leave the maker in debt.

"Hindi na kukuniny'yan ng buyer. Sayang 100k lahat ng bayad 'yan paano na ako baon na naman ako sa utang," Simon wrote.

In another post, Tatay Max showed a photo of him in tears with the caption, "Di ko mapigilan umiyak."

On social media, netizens lamented how unfair it was for the buyer to decide not to claim the order even if it's already finished. Many also tagged several celebrities like Heart Evangelista, The Hungry Syrian Wanderer and even Raffy Tulfo to try and help the parol maker.

Based on the post's update, Manila Mayor Isko Moreno is the latest personality who reached out to Tatay Max. While they didn't disclose the extent of assistance Mayor Isko gave, Tatay Max and his family were grateful for the help.
