PMAEE 2020 results: PMA entrance exam list of passers

MANILA, Philippines – The complete results of the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) entrance exam 2020 conducted between August 26 and October 10 in more than 40 sites nationwide, are released online on Thursday, November 12. View here the list of passers as announced online.

The administration of the recent PMA pen-and-paper test to tens of thousands of takers amid the COVID-19 pandemic is unprecedented. Successful applicants will be part of PMA Class of 2025.

Those who passed the exams will be undergoing medical, psychological and physical examination which is the next phase in their journey to become PMA cadets.

The Complete Physical Examination (CPE) will be conducted at the Armed Forces of the Philippines Health Service Command (AFPHSC) in V. Luna, Quezon City to determine their physical and mental fitness to undergo a four-year rigid military training inside the premier military institution.

Minimum Requirements for Physical Fitness Test (PFT):

• Push Ups: Male 30 reps; Female 25 reps
• Situps: Male 30 reps; Female 25 reps
• Pullups: Male 10 reps; Female 7 reps
• Run: Male and Female 3.2km

Medical Disqualifications

• Color blind
• Any communicable disease
• Physical deformities
• Scoliosis
• Tattoos
• Other medical conditions as determined by AFP Medical Board Nr 1

NOTE: CPE takes days, so a cadet candidate is required to stay in the billeting area provided by the Academy in AFP Medical Center.

If the applicant successfully makes it, he will be required to report to PMA Liaison Office in AFPMC for final processing before s/he will be brought to PMA expected in April for the Oath-Taking Ceremony and Reception Rites, signaling his official entry to the Academy as member of a PMA Class.

COVERAGE OF EXAM

The annual PMAEE aims to measure the mental ability of examinees in the areas of math (algebra and geometry), English (grammar, composition, and reading and comprehension) and abstract reasoning (verbal and numerical reasoning and pattern analysis).

RESULTS RELEASE DATE

In the previous PMA entrance exam, results were out in 3-4 weeks. But due to COVID-19 pandemic, delay on the processing of pen and pencil-based exam is expected.

Takers may expect announcement of PMAEE results between the last week of October and November 2020.

PREVIOUS EXAMS

In the August 2019 exams, a total of 1,629 out of 33,000 (4.94%) examinees passed the tests.

Meanwhile, 1,506 out of 29,601 (5.09%) successfully hurdled the September 2018 PMAEE.

In 2017 PMAEE, a total of 1,475 out of 15,502 (9.51%) passed the exams.
