Magnitude 5.0 earthquake shakes CALABARZON, Metro Manila on October 29, 2020

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported a magnitude 5.0 earthquake that shook parts of Luzon and Metro Manila Thursday afternoon, October 29, 2020.

The exact time of occurrence was recorded at 1:25:42 PM with epicenter near Mabini, Batangas.

The earthquake that occurred has a tectonic origin with 2 km depth of focus.

The strong quake was felt at Intensity IV in Mabini, San Luis, Lemery, Rosario, Agoncillo, Calatagan, Balayan, Bauan, Sta. Teresita, Batangas; Tagaytay City, Alfonso and Amadeo, Cavite.

Intensity III in Batangas City; Malvar, Talisay, Tanauan, Alitagtag Batangas; San Pablo, Laguna.

Intensity II in Quezon City; Mandaluyong City; Navotas City; Majayjay, Laguna; Dolores, Quezon.

Intensity I in Malabon City; Pasay City; Talisay, Batangas; Sta. Cruz, Laguna.
