On Facebook page BPO Secret Files Community, call center agent Sam Blanca shares the inspiring story of how he was able to buy his own house even though he is still young. While a lot of young people splurge on vacations, food, and new clothes with their earnings, Sam chose to plan for the future instead.

In the 4 years that he’s been working as call center agent, he was able to buy his own house. He encourages other call center agents in the group to be proud of their job, rallying them as “mga bayaning puyat” (the sleepless heroes).

In his post on the group, Sam detailed the companies he had worked for, some of the job titles he held in these companies, how long he stayed in the job, and why he quit to find another company. The young man also narrated that he had been a working student. This is the reason why he first entered the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry.

Sam resigned his first job at Trec Pacific Corp after 9 months of working because he’s already graduating at the time. He also happily shared that his second BPO, 24/7 Intouch, truly helped him grow in his career. It was also there that he first experienced getting promoted.

While he only spent a month at the third BPO he worked for due to a number of reasons, he stayed for 9 months at the fourth, The Results Companies. However, he also experienced various problems there.

Hired externally as Quality Analyst at Omega Healthcare, Sam believes this will be the last company he will be working for in the BPO industry. He explained that Omega means ‘last’; thus, he wants this to be his last company.

Though he’s now 25 years old, Sam said that he acquired the house back when he was still 22. At his age, he is ready to settle and live independently.
