In a statement on Facebook, the coffee chain added that this is to support government's enhanced community quarantine protocols.

"We will always put the health and safety of our partners (employees) and customers as our top priority," it added. "We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your continued support and understanding."

Starbucks closed all stores in the Philippines in March 23 to support immediate adoption of social distancing as enhanced community quarantine was imposed in Luzon and some parts of the country.

Meanwhile, Rustan Coffee Corporation (Starbucks Philippines) president Noey Lopez said they have donated food and beverages to frontliners such as medical personnel, law enforcement personnel, NGO volunteers and organizations.
