Proud dad goes viral for handwritten announcement on cardboard as son becomes engineer

MANILA, Philippines – These days, proud parents and family members often create large, colorful and beautifully formatted tarpaulins to congratulate the achievement of their loved ones. They hang the tarpaulins outside the house as announcement of important achievement and to show their pride.

But one dad proved that you don’t really need flashy tarpaulins to show love for your children as they achieve a wonderful milestone in their loves.

A proud dad went viral for his handwritten announcement on cardboard as he congratulates his son for becoming an engineer! His son happily shared the photo of his sweet announcement, while netizens were happy for both this proud father and his engineer son.

The photos were shared by Romerson Nanao who felt happy over his dad’s simple yet wonderful congratulatory note. And while the greeting was only handwritten on a piece of cardboard, not on a colorful tarpaulin, it was obviously made with such love and pride that it would touch so many hearts.

“However big, however small. You are part of it all. Thanks, Dad. A lot,” Romerson wrote in that tweet. It turned out that this post was back in 2018, but it went viral again after being reposted by several blogs.

A lot of netizens pointed out that Romerson’s dad was very proud of his achievement and the handwritten greeting was the best thing he could come up, but it was made with great love. It was quite obvious that his dad was very proud of him or he wouldn’t have written that greeting and placed it on their gate.

“That’s a statement! No need for big tarp! Whoever did that showed so much love,” netizen Kristian Cueto commented.

Now a project engineer for a company, Romerson reportedly said that he owes his success to his parents who were never tired of providing him with all the love and support he needed. Congratulations, Engr. Romerson and to your proud dad!
