Speculations ran wild that the long-time couple might already be engaged when Matteo posted photos of the two of them in a sweet pose, writing, “I love you my love, now and forever.” While he didn’t mention anything about a proposal, eagle-eyed netizens were quick to notice the diamond ring on Sarah’s finger.
Congratulatory messages soon poured in for the couple on Matteo’s Instagram post, with many stars offering their congratulatory messages as well. Hundreds of fans commented that this is one of their most-awaited moments as they would love to see the pop superstar marry her handsome actor boyfriend.
But as congratulatory messages flooded Matteo’s Instagram page on Thursday night, the actor neither confirmed nor denied whether the engagement is true. Fans are hopeful it is – and were quite happy when Matteo’s younger brother, Paolo, made a separate IG post to welcome Sarah to the family.
On his Stories updates and in his own Instagram post, Paolo congratulated the couple and confirmed that Sarah would become part of their family, officially. On his Instagram post, he shared a photo with Sarah, writing “Congrats” with a ring emoji, and tagging the couple.
But Paolo would also hint that the proposal did not happen that night.
“Nobody found out. It was a secret,” he shared on his Stories, hinting that the milestone, while so exciting to fans, was not something new.
Although 31-year-old Sarah and 29-year-old Matteo did not reveal the actual dates they became a couple, they reportedly celebrated their sixth anniversary sometime in September 2019. It can be recalled that the two first confirmed their relationship in 2014, but that’s already after officially being together for nearly a year.
