Proud father supports his wheelchair-bound son since college up until taking LET

MANILA, Philippines – A father showed how proud and supportive he is of his son with disability, who tried to hurdle the Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) on Sunday, September 29.

Netizen Shiela Mae Estrañero Glor shared a heartwarming meeting she had while taking the board exam for teachers.

According to Glor, she noticed a friendly man standing outside one of the classrooms where tests were being held.

She shared, "6:30am ang start ng exam kaya around 5:30 andoon na kaming lahat. Hindi ko agad napansin si Tatay sa dami ng tao at dahil din siguro nakatuon ang atensyon ko sa parating na exam. Pero noong pagkatapos ng unang subject, nakita ko na siya na nasa tapat ng classroom. Nakaupo at naghihintay. Nginingitian niya ang bawat dumadaan."

Glor said that around 5:30 in the afternoon, she was finished with the exam and was surprised to still see the friendly man waiting outside the room.

She decided to speak with the man and found out that he is actually a supportive father to one of the LET examinees.

The proud "tatay" said, "Nag eexam sa loob ang anak ko eh."

Glor recalled their conversation, "Tila proud na proud siya. 'Ay talaga po? Sino po ang anak nyo d'yan, Tay?'"

The father pointed through the window to the wheelchair-bound man taking the exam.

Smiling, the father said, "Mula 1st year yan hatid sundo ko na 'yan. Hanggang ngayon na board niya."

Glor was near tears upon hearing how much the father sacrificed for his son. Now, Tatay continues his support to his son in achieving his dream of becoming a teacher.

She said, "Gusto kong maiyak. Dama ko yung sakripisyo ni Tatay at ng lahat ng mga magulang para sa mga anak nila. Yung kaya nilang gawin ang lahat nang walang pagkapagod o pagkainip."

With the heartwarming incident, Glor said she will add both father and son in her prayers. She prayed that Tatay will have a long life and his son pass the board exam.
