RESULT: Top Passers for 2018 Principals' Test

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Education (DepEd) through the Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development (BHROD) named the topnotchers or top passers in the December 2018 Principals' Test.

Angelo D. Uy of Region IV-A aced the Principals' Test. It was followed by Johnny M. Pascua of Region I and Rodel V. Rosales of Region VIII.

The examination was administered in at least 25 exam centers nationwide on December 9.

On June 15, DepEd announced that only 148 hopefuls passed the exams.

RELATED RESULTS

It is DepEd's mechanism to select school heads in the public education sector - a qualifying process for interested applicants to Principal I positions and being implemented in coordination with the Schools Divisions Offices (DOs) through the Regional Offices (ROs).

PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS

In the 2017 Principals' Test, only 5,111 out of 20,653 (24.75%) successfully hurdled the exam. Results were released in more than five (5) months after the test. Grant B. Gubatan from Region 1 and Rhoda O. Dela Cruz from Region 4A tied on top spot.

In the 2016 exams, only 388 successfully passed the test.Results were out after six (6) months. Christian N. Sango of Region XI topped the passers.

In the October 2015 exam, 2,195 out of more than 19,000 takers passed the test. Results were released online in less than 3 months after the exam. Erwin John Santos (Region 3) and Garry Vacunawa (Region 8) garnered aced the test.
