The local government of Navotas City has recently passed City Ordinance 2019-03 that shall grant cash incentives to fresh graduates. Under the ordinance, students who will graduate starting this school year 2018-2019 will be covered.

Graduates in the elementary level will receive P500. Meanwhile, senior high school and college graduates will get P1,000 and P1,500, respectively.

The initiative was made to motivate more students to strive harder in school. Vice Mayor Clint Geronimo said that the ordinance aims to “encourage students to finish their studies and achieve more in life.”

Looks like more cities are looking to provide financial assistance to their fresh graduates. In Valenzuela City, they recently had their first distribution of cash grants to the fresh graduates.
