Kid’s conversation with vendor dad touches netizens’ hearts

MANILA, Philippines – These days, most parents are so busy looking for money that they no longer have time to spend having fun with their kids. A lot can’t even bring their kids to school because of their jobs, leaving the task to their nannies, drivers, or other family members to do. Others let their kids go to school on their own.

But one dad recently went viral for his touching conversation with his daughter in a jeepney somewhere in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

Sitting across Geli Fernandez Lagrimas, who happens to be a teacher, a kid and her vendor dad talked about the realities of their poor lives.

Knowing her dad would earn more if he focuses on selling his goods instead of bringing her to school, the young girl told him he doesn’t need to take her to school.

But this loving dad, poor as he might be, wanted to make sure his daughter was safe on her way to school – especially now that have been plenty of reports regarding kids getting kidnapped by syndicates or would-be kidnappers getting apprehended.

So, the young girl relented and let her dad take her to school, but she promised to help him sell goods after school so they could have ‘a lot of money’.

Soon, people would message Lagrimas to ask how they could help this father and his wonderful daughter. Because she had no idea who these two were, Lagrimas would follow leads from netizens who said the family lives at the back of a grocery store named Kadiwa Hypermarket.

After finding the family, Lagrimas learned that the father’s name is Crisanto. He has five children who also help him sell rags. He supports the family by selling various stuff but even with their challenging situation, this family remains happy.

This impressed Lagrimas and many netizens who vowed to bring more help to Tatay Crisanto and his helpful kids…
