During the “Alay Lakad” walk for a cause event in Batangas, Go said that one of his priority advocacies is education. He said that on top of the government’s free tuition, he will also push for free school supplies for public school students and even the increase of teachers’ salary.

Go said, “Many of our youths do not have money to buy the things that they need in school, so school supplies and other requirements should be free.”

The senatorial aspirant explained that some local government units (LGUs) are already providing free school supplies but he believes it should be implemented nationwide.

The former presidential aide also gave an update on the appeal to increase the wages of teachers. Go confirmed he will personally look into the matter.

He said, "I will certainly be following this matter up with the President. But I know this will push through right after the salary standardization. Just like our policemen, they will be the next to benefit.”

Go also said he believes that the increase will happen as Duterte promised. He said, “President Duterte promised it during the convention of school principals in Davao City and I know he would fulfill it."

Aside from the education reforms, Go gave an assurance that he will also be pushing for key legislative concerns including the improvement of the Universal Healthcare Bill to institutionalize the Malasakit Centers nationwide; amend the Juvenile Justice Law and review the Continuing Professional Development Law (CPD).
