It was Go who heard of the touching story of the boy who barely had enough for lunch. He searched for the young boy and arranged for him to meet no less than the President. Go said, “Inimbitahan po namin ni Pangulong Duterte.”

Go shared that the President was impressed with Gitler’s perseverance amidst poverty and promised to help his family. Gitler’s family was promised with a new house, financial assistance and stable jobs for his parents.

The Special Assistant also admitted that he gave two cellphones for Gitler. Go said, “Ako naman nagbigay ako ng dalawang simpleng cell phone para kahit papano matuwa ‘yung dalawang bata na magkapatid.”

Go said that the President and his office are always willing to extend their help to those in need. Go said, “Bukas ang aming tanggapan sa abot po ng aming makakaya po ay tutulong at tutulong lang po kami. Anytime. Bukas po ang aming tanggapan.”

President Rodrigo Duterte was in Butuan City and also visited PNP Hospital Region XIII last September 29.
