PLE RESULT: September - October 2018 Physician board exam list of passers, top 10

MANILA, Philippines – The September - October 2018 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE) or Physician board exam results including the official list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools and performance of schools are released online today, November 6, 2018 or in five (5) working days after the exam.

As announced, 3,717 out of 4,542 passed the exams.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted the second Physician board exam this year on September 8-9 and October 27-28 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Davao. The third and fourth day of exam was originally scheduled on September 15 and 16 but rescheduled to later date due to onslaught of typhoon “Ompong.”

The members of the Board of Medicine who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Eleanor J. Galvez, Chairman; Dr. Edgardo T. Fernando, Dr. Miguel L. Noche Jr., Dr. Eleanor B. Almoro, Dr. Ma. Graciela Garayblas-Gonzaga and Dr. Clarita C. Maaño, Members.

PHYSICIAN BOARD EXAM RELATED RESULTS

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

From November 19 to December 7, 2018, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following:
  • downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • notice of admission (for identification only)
  • 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
  • 2 sets of documentary stamps and 1 piece short brown envelope

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, PRC added.

VERIFICATION OF RATINGS

Physician board exam's verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.

Visit PRC's "Verification of Rating" service and enter the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.

COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION

The second medicine board exam this year covered the following subjects: biochemistry, anatomy and histology, microbiology and parasitology (September 8); physiology, legal medicine, ethics and medical jurisprudence and pathology (September 9); pharmacology and therapeutics surgery and opthalmology, otolaryngology and rhinology and medicine (October 27); and obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and nutrition and preventive medicine and public health (October 28).

RELEASE OF RESULTS

According to PRC Resolution No. 2017-1068, PLE board exam results will be released in four (4) working days after the last day of exam.

On October 31, the supposed third day after the last day of exam, PRC announced half-day suspension of work "in observance of DOLE Memorandum declaring work in government offices suspended, to enable government workers to prepare for the observance of the All Saints Day."

In the September 2017 exams, PRC announced results in 4 working days. PRC named 3,340 out of 4,064 who passed the exam. Vincent Edouard Anthony Retardo Gullas of University of Santo Tomas (UST) aced the board with 90.50%.

In the September 2016 exam, PRC released results in 3 working days. A total of 2,899 out of 3,695 successfully hurdled the tests. Jeri Charlotte Co Albano, also from UST, led the passers with 89.50%.
