CONFIRMED: Mocha Uson to run for public office in 2019

MANILA, Philippines – Former Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson finally put an end to the speculation and confirmed on Monday, October 8 that she will run in the 2019 national elections.

Speaking before a crowd of reports, Uson explained that she is irked by claims that President Rodrigo Duterte fired her from PCOO.

Uson shared that she hopes to become the voice of the ordinary Filipino people.

Asked on what position she will be seeking if Senate or Congress, Uson said she has yet to consult the President.

A report claimed from an anonymous source said that Uson was sacked by the President for going overboard. The source said, “Sumobra na. Abusado masyado at arogante.”

Despite Uson insisting that she resigned, the source claimed that the President himself asked Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go to call Uson to ask her to step down.

Since the “call” was made, Duterte had not spoken to Uson. The anonymous source said, “Since she was fired last September, di na siya kinausap ni Presidente.”

Uson’s controversial Facebook blog, the Mocha Uson Blog, has more than 5.7 million followers.
