MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces the schedule, requirements, deadline of filing applications and test program for the next Professional Teachers board exam known as licensure exam for teachers (LET) set on Sunday, September 30, 2018.

PRC opened the online processing on May 20 (Sunday) with the deadline of filing applications on July 20, 2018 (Friday) based on Resolution No. 2017-1068.

Examination will be held in Manila, all regional offices; Zamboanga, Bacolod, Rosales, Pangasinan, Laoag and General Santos City.

LET QUALIFICATIONS

1. A citizen of the Philippines or an alien whose country has reciprocity with the Philippines

2. At least eighteen (18) years old

3. Of good moral character and good reputation with high moral values; has not been convicted by final judgment by court for an offense involving moral turpitude

ONLINE APPLICATION SYSTEM

All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply online at online1.prc.gov.ph (via Licensure Examination and Registration Information System or LERIS V2). While there are some changes on the website, you may still use this step-by-step guide courtesy of PRC.

INFORMATION FOR ONLINE APPLICATION

3. Personal information including the date of graduation
4. 2x2 ID picture in .jpg format (You must be in a collared attire on a white background and must be less than 6 months old. Do not wear eyeglasses and make sure the ears are visible in the photo).
5. Cedula /CTC ( 2018 Community Tax Certificate)

NOTE: The requirements are to be submitted upon processing/issuance of Notice of Admission.

LET 2018 BASIC APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

List below is based on PRC's provided information that you may also verify here.

1. Original and photo copies of Transcript of Records with Special Order, Date of Graduation, seal of the school, with scanned picture and remarks " For Board examination Purposes Only" (Res. 2004-200, s'04) (Ched recognition / permit to operate for graduates of new schools / programs)

2. Original and photo copies of Birth Certificate (NSO)

3. Four (4) passport size colored pictures with complete name printed

4. Metered Documentary Stamps

5. Community Tax Certificate / Cedula

6. Examination fee of P900

7. Educational Qualification / Training / Experience and Certifications to be Attached

  • For Teachers in Elementary Grade: BSEED or its equivalent
  • For Teachers in Secondary Grade: A bachelors degree in education or its equivalent with a major and minor and the degrees which shall be considered equivalent must have to take at least 18 units in Professional Education, or a bachelors degree in arts and sciences with at least ten units in professional education
  • For Teachers in Pre-school: A bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education (BECED) or its equivalent
  • For Teachers in vocational and two-year technical course: A bachelors degree in the field of specialization or its equivalent, with at least 18 units in professional education.

SEPTEMBER 2018 LET PROGRAM

PRC advised that separate test booklets will be used for the General Education (GE) and Professional Education (PE) subjects for both elementary and secondary levels in the September 2018 LET. Check out program of examination here.

SEPTEMBER 2018 LET RESULTS

LET results are target for release on December 4, 2018 or in 45 working days after the exam. This excludes Saturdays and Sundays and two holidays namely All Saints' Day (Thursday, November 1, 2018) and Bonifacio Day (Friday, November 30, 2018). A total of 65 calendar days was calculated.
