'Ghost' takes ride in Grab Car, scares passenger and driver

When Sam Andrew Lee rode a GrabCar at midnight last June 17, bound for Oasis in Quezon City, he had no idea that he would encounter a ghost – and it would actually propel him to social media fame.

According to Lee, in a post that has since gone viral on Facebook, it was exactly 12 midnight when he rode the GrabCar near Batasan Hills. When he entered the vehicle, he noticed that there was another passenger at the back.

Feeling a bit cheated on, perhaps, Lee told the driver that he booked a regular GrabCar ride, not a GrabShare. He was rather shocked when the suddenly frightened driver replied that when he picked up Lee, there was one else in the car but him! Uh-oh.

So, Lee immediately checked the back and was surprised to see that the other passenger was gone. Thinking that was the end of the ghost encounter, Lee was able to relax for a few minutes. But when he looked at the back, he saw the ghost again!

He closed his eyes and told the driver the other ‘passenger’ was there again. This must have spooked the driver as well; though at first the driver didn’t talk much about it.

Feeling a bit brave, Lee thought about taking a selfie as evidence of the ghost encounter. Of course, it is possible the ‘ghost’ might not appear in the photo but he wished hard the ghost will be there. True enough, there was someone at his back when he took the photo. Creepy!

The entity, whoever it was, looked like it was looking straight into the camera! And this has sent chills to netizens who felt rather scared that something similar might happen to them in their nightly commute.

Many also shared similar experiences; though they said they weren’t brave enough to take a picture.

Even the driver was scared at this point, feeling a bit angry at him for taking a picture. Then, the driver asked whether he might agree to get off near the driver’s house, then the driver will just help him find another ride – of course, he didn’t agree as he was feeling more scared at this point, feeling that the ‘ghost’ at the back was getting stronger.

In his post, he would later remind other commuters to pray before leaving their home or work or any place, so that they might avoid a similar encounter.

Are you scared? I definitely am!
