Christianne Mae Balili recalled how she took the Bar with a heavy heart. Balili’s beloved Lola died of aneurysm and had to be buried exactly on the first Sunday of the exams.

But instead of being emotionally distracted, the University of San Carlos alumni took to heart her grandmother's wish. Balili was close to tears as she recalled her promise to her Lola’s, that she will pass the bar with flying colors.

When Balili was hailed as the second placer of Bar, she knew she made her Lola proud.
