Performance of schools: Mechanical Engineer ME, CPM board exam September 2017

MANILA, Philippines - The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) officially announced on Tuesday, October 3, that 3,517 out of 5,098 passed the Mechanical Engineer (ME) board exam and 31 out of 105 passed the Certified Plant Mechanic (CPM) Licensure Examination given by the Board of Mechanical Engineering in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao and Lucena last September 2017.

PRC hailed University of the Philippines - Diliman (UPD) as the top performing school as per Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010: WITH 50 OR MORE EXAMINEES AND WITH AT LEAST 80% PASSING PERCENTAGE. UPD got 96.15% passing rate or 50 out of 52 passed the exams.

It was followed by Mindanao University of Science and Technology - CDO with 95.00% or 57 out of 60 successfully hurdled the tests.

The performance of schools in the September 2017 Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination in alphabetical order as per R.A. 8981 otherwise known as PRC Modernization Act of 2000 Section 7(m) "To monitor the performance of schools in licensure examinations and publish the results thereof in a newspaper of national circulation" is as follows:


Jay Nelson Talip Corbita from Xavier University aced the board with 92.20%. It was followed by Von Eric Abag Damirez of University of Batangas (UB) with 90.15%.
