Old man in raggedy clothes surprises everyone after buying Harley with cash

Harley Davidson, a luxury motorcycle brand that costs at least $6,000 (Php 299,574), is every motorcyle-lover’s dream. Since the motorcycle brand is very expensive, you’d probably assume only the rich and famous can afford to have it.

But who are we to judge who are capable of buying it?

An elderly man from Thailand clad in a shabby oversized T-shirt, worn-out pants and a pair of flip-flops proved that looks can be really deceiving after purchasing a Harley Davidson motorcycle that costs over $17,000 (Php 848,793).

Apparently, the man didn’t initially get the attention most Harley customers get because of his appearance. Reports claimed that the old man identified as Lung Decha was ignored in several motorbike shops because he appeared like he didn’t have a single penny with him.

After being rejected in several shops, Lung Decha finally found luck in a big shop called Maxsingburi Bike Shop located in Amphoe Khai Bang Rachan in Sing Buri, Thailand. Initially, the salespeople in the shop thought he entered the shop just to look at the motorbikes and was not capable of buying anything.

Lung Decha finally decided to call the attention of the shop owner, who attended to his needs. The old man closely inspected the motorcycle and asked the owner every question he had about his preferred motorcycle. Within 10 minutes, Lung Decha was able to make up his mind.

“I’ll have that one!” the elderly man said.

Everyone’s jaws dropped after seeing Lung Decha take out a whopping 600,000 baht from his worn out pants to pay for the expensive motorcycle.

Lung Decha’s sister, who shared the incredible story on Facebook, revealed that her brother is indeed a simple and hardworking man who worked as a mechanic. After years of hard work, Lung Decha decided to fulfilll his dream of owning a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Fortunately, he didn’t have any vices and had enough savings from all his years of working.
