OFW nurse receives painful message from brother after refusing to pay downpayment for his car

MANILA, Philippines - An alleged message of a man to his overseas Filipino worker (OFW) sister is making the rounds on Facebook.

OFW nurse receives painful message from brother
In the said message, an unidentified man berated his sister who works as a nurse in Canada for not sending money as downpayment for a car he wishes to purchase. He even called his sister selfish in the painful message.

According to the OFW who refused to be identified, she has been helping out her siblings for the past years. In fact, she has shelled out hundreds of thousands to support their business ventures.

In 2015, she gave P200,000 to her youngest brother, which he used as capital for a quail business. Unfortunately, the business went bankrupt. Last year, the OFW gave P55,000 to the said brother as capital for a small grocery store.

The OFW also supports her older brother who has a stable job. Aside from expensive gifts she occasionally gives him, she also pays for the P30,000-tuition fee of her older brother’s child. The older brother also lives in a house built on a lot owned by his OFW sister.

Apparently, this wasn’t enough for her older brother. He even demanded that she give him P150,000 as downpayment for a vehicle he intends to buy.

When the OFW refused to give in to her older brother’s request, the latter decided to send her a hurtful message.

“Ito po ang message ng kuya ko sa akin galit na galit keso makasarili daw po ako.. ako na po nagpapaaral sa isang anak ng kuya ko s private school 30,000 tuition fee.. nakatira na sa bahay sa ls pinas for free ako po may ari ng lupa sa ate ko ang bahay.. tapos makasarili parin daw ako. Nakakasama lang po talaga ng loob na parang ang gusto nila patayin ko sarili ko kakatrabho habang sila nagpapakasarap sa pinas.”

The OFW divulged that she is already married and is working hard to earn money that she can share with her family in the Philippines.
