Sick mom unmasked ‘Miggy Armstrong,’ alleged scammer who pretended to be her son on KMJS

MANILA, Philippines - “Miggy Armstrong” who claimed to be ‘Earl Dollente,’ the missing toddler featured on “Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho,” resulted negative on the DNA test and faked his whole story to scam the Dollente family.

Sick mom unmasked ‘Miggy Armstrong,’ heartless scammer

In a lengthy Facebook post on Saturday,  Laurie Dollente revealed how Miggy pretended to be her long-lost son that caused a heartbreaking moment especially to her who is suffering from stage 4 lung cancer.

Dollente gave this update after an overwhelming queries she received as well as on the Facebook page “Mimi & Earl” asking what was happened between her and Miggy after the airing of his story on KMJS.

Miggy contacted KMJS in an attempt to confirm his hunch that he’s the missing Earl Dollente. KMJS immediately answered back and the next day, Miggy was interviewed. The latter gave his whole backstory and claimed he was found in a pile of trash and raised in Bulacan by his foster parents -- who are now separated, his mother migrated to London while his father is a seaman.

KMJS’ segment producer told all of this to Dollente which gained her sympathy. However, the interview was not aired as he did not sign the contract claiming that his foster parents might see it and dislodge him from their house. Miggy then posted a behind-the-scene photo of the interview in his Facebook wall but was deleted later.

Eventually, the Dollente family and Miggy met with the KMJS staff fixing the location and filming the whole moment.

Dollente narrated how the scamming began after the series of meetings with Miggy. Their pity on his current hardships based on his story led them to give him some money.

The day of the DNA results came in, Dollente called the KMJS team to film the supposed major update to their endeavor to find Earl.

The result brought serious emotional breakdown to Dollente and put her health at risk.

Miggy avoided any means of contact from the Dollente family from then on, he would respond after several messages with short replies. The sick mom admitted that this put her in an emotional torture.

But everything went sideways when the KMJS segment producer informed that the airing of the follow-up story will not push through because a certain relative of Miggy from Arizona called and threaten to sue the show if their segment will be aired.

The incident led to her doubt to Miggy and later discovered his lies. It was revealed that he asked help from admin of Facebook page “Mimi & Earl” that lives in Arizona to pretend as his auntie and call the KMJS team.

Melvin Maniacop even tried to escape this allegations by claiming that he’s not “Armstrong Miggy” and his pictures were just used.

The post ended with Dollente expressing her disappointment to Maniacop who abused her emotions being a mother longing for her child.
